I cannot believe I neglected this album until now... Such beauty, such darkness, such sophistication... I'm in love.

My favourite song from the album. Gravity The Seducer is an electronic masterpiece. They've managed to create incredibly layered, subtle, deep and atmospheric soundscapes. Ladytron is one of the most underrated bands in the world.

Seamless fusion of traditional instruments and synths. You don't hear other music like this because so few can compose and perform it. Not only great musicians but also sound engineers and audio physicists.

This song deserves a good video. This song deserves millions of views (listens). This song makes my day. Ladytron, doing magic since 2001.

Lyrics: Back from the window Everything's subtle Temporary sanctuary Look through the window Everything's subtle Tailored to fit, but nothing's that simple Gold, you will always come to me With the power of deception Gold won't ever comfort me The color of deception The color of deception Move closer Subterfuge Illusion's there for all to see There's no one left to rescue me Glass and stone, it cuts like a knife And gold won't ever comfort me Gold, you will always come to me With the power of deception Gold won't ever comfort me The color of deception The color of deception ~●~

Listening to this track I thought of the first time heard Hendrix's Electric Ladyland. The experimental elements of it are rare endeavors. Of Course this song is many synthesizers later but it still feels like a crest.

Yeah I assembled Gravity Seducer (my own play on words) playlist as soon as the album cuts were available on KZbin. Out of respect for them I put it together from their label releases. I can't believe none of the video's are over 1 million views. It's a weird time for popular music. The only guaranteed tens of millions are the latest cutest teeny boppers. But do they really deserve their spoils compared to Ladytron?

I used to listen to a lot of good bands thinking I had found all the best music there is. Then I found Ladytron. It's like when scientists found out there are more than one galaxy. Only I feel like I found God

With platinum half the price of gold, I don't see the purpose of white gold unless you want softer metal with a lower melting point. And don't get me started about palladium. In its pure form it is the strongest and hardest of the monetary metals. It is used to plate chalices that are supposed to look like polished silver. Palladium does not tarnish like silver. Palladium is far more scarce than gold. No base metals are used to alloy platinum and palladium jewelry. Only ruthenium and iridium are used to alloy platinum (to make it harder). And ruthenium is used to alloy palladium. Gold on the other hand is alloyed with copper, a lowly base metal. While this does maintain the yellow color, it dilutes the value of the ring. White gold is alloyed with nickel or (not any more) palladium or platinum to make it white. Nickel causes allergic reaction in some people. Again, the only point to white gold is to have a softer, weaker metal with a lower melting point than platinum or palladium. If I wanted white gold I would alloy the gold with platinum or palladium so that I had something I could cast easily but was white in color. On second thought, ruthenium might be a cheaper way to make a harder, more durable white gold. Ruthenium is a precious, platinum group metal but costs 1/5 that of gold. Pure ruthenium is noble except for attack by bleach. I stopped buying gold due to the environmental impact of artisanal mining in the Amazon. They are using mercury to extract the gold and burning it off and it goes into the air and pollutes the jungle. Little birds are getting mercury poisonings from this. Widespread use of retorts could address the mercury concern. Then there is the fish: rivers must be dug up and sluiced to extract the gold. Pebble mine in Alaska is proposed for the purpose of copper and gold mining. Pebble mine will demolish salmon streams. GE wind turbines use direct drive and require massive amounts of copper and rare earth metals for the magnets due to the design. Other types of wind turbine have transmissions and us about 1/10 the copper. Wind turbines that employ doubly-fed-induction machines require no magnets: only iron and copper. Get a clue GE. Your wind turbines are not green and very expensive. What is the matter with using a transmission in a wind turbine to speed up the rotation? My bicycle dynamo hubs weigh 10 times more than a sidewall generator because they turn at the speed of the hub. We want this for reliability and simplicity. We are weight weenies. But wind turbines? Why don't they all use transmissions?

Dude, please don't do that. You are just harming yourself, and I really wouldn't like to see another one of my fellow human beings dying or having withdrawals at rehab clinics. Trading your life away for some sort of "sensation" is just a horrible deal. Stay clean!
