As Brennan has said a number of times, in Episodes of Fantasy High and Sophomore-Year, as well as Adventuring Party Episodes: Gilear was originally just a *Normal* NPC! A Commoner with Commoner Stats! The Bad Kids, (Emily Axford, specifically) Yes-Anded Gilear into Oblivion and destroyed his character and made him *Hella* pathetic.
