No you doing have to.

It's supposed to help with fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber, preventing after firing

I did the same installation. Did you have a problem fully seating the pipes to the exhaust manifold due to the Torque cones? I'm also getting check engine light? Any tips? Thanks.

You need to tune them with fuel injected sportsters get a fuel pack or Harley sportster tuner

@charltonreeves The only issue with wrapped pipes I've experienced is if it rains, the wrap holds the moisture and, over time, will rust the pipes. Looks cool, though.

Lord Baccus yes. I didn’t notice at first but now that I switched to the mini grenades it’s very noticeable that I was missing mid range torque.

The only issue I see is the wrap. Should've went higher towards the mounting bracket, no? I think that's where most of the discoloration will be.

@theinfinitryda I recently bought these for a 2012 Sportster Seventy-two, but they have no baffles, and the torque cones do probably nothing, I'm sure. The only reason I haven't installed them yet is the O2 sensors. I just cleared my speedo of the battery and check engine light by replacing the regulator rectifier. I'm worried if I put these on, it's going to light up like a Christmas tree. Any feedback on these cheap pipes? Anyone experience any issues after install?
