That's an interesting perspective. I was thinking how exciting it will be to have a player of his proven skill level compete in our league. I was thinking how great it is that a player of his quality, at his age, CHOOSE to come to MLS despite the other places he could have gone. It brings legitimacy to our league and raises the overall expected skill level.

yes its great money and the fan base as you could tell from this video are all familiar faces he is loving it! i am not here to say its wrong to play for money because its not it was his personal choice and its a good choice not only for him but for the fans who will get to see a great player like him on a weekly basis but does that add legitimacy to the league? hell absolutely no the mls will never catch up, mexican sides are winning the concacaf champions league year in year out. you gotta change your mindset as a fan and stop looking for legitimacy because that will never happen its your league ENJOY IT and dont give a shit about what the world thinks.

Thorrington was a promising young player. Unfortunately some injuries curtailed his career. No he never played for Man U or Leverkusen. Did play 3rd tier for Huddlesfield. Looked good at times for Chicago. Our President Tom Penn, stupid or liar?

The USA football is growing, there's no doubt about that but my complaint is that you don't support the young talent of your country, instead of that MLS clubs buy old european or mexican stars to gain fans... that's the reason why i call them fake fans. MLS isn't competitive... you have the money, the stadiums, the support but your national players are lack of quality...well, Pulisic is an exception. I'm not a hater, i just love football and i'm sayig the truth...

Well, really, here is how I see MLS, its a quick start league with quick start clubs that try to sell themselves on fake history or presenting themselves as something that has been around forever. These clubs are nothing but rich owned and have no real passion for football to begin with. Its pure capitalist football. One should actually read how a lot of clubs started in South America and Mexico. They were just some regular guys hanging out kicking the ball and started to start a club and later on it came into the league with other clubs started the same way. This is nothing what became of MLS. How can I get behind something like the MLS ? its fake and just money. People say, well money makes the world turn, yeah, maybe, but not everything has to be about money.

Even if you support a South American or Mexican team and you love their history and story of how they got started... it's all rich people in suits looking at how to maximize the clubs profits at the top levels of football around the world. The nice back story doesn't change the fact that it operates the same way MLS does right now (except the fact that we're single entity)
