That Butler 455 has always been a dream! Sweet ride!
@wamps3370Ай бұрын
I had one back in the day-same car, 1973 Red, 455- only with 4 spd...one of my most treasured vehicles ever owned. Factory stock with headers. 3.43 rear end. Very happy with it. One negative is that the valves would float at about 110 mph. I'm sure the SD455 version did not do this but there were only about 1500 of those made.

Back in that day we all wish we had one. They are very comfortable cars too.

And for some reason Pontiac, in the following year of 1974, decided to make the 455 (non-SD) automatic only and not available with the 4-speed.

That is a very beautiful Car. That must go really good.

The Trans Am car : 1973 Pontiac Trans Am 455 was only making 310 HP. Slow quarter-mile @ 13.75. I miss the crank windows and the interior looks very good.

Very nice T/A, but no A/C a build like that. You add the A/C. Still nice.
@goodbonezz1289Ай бұрын
Absolutely agree. I’d never drop big money and not be able to be comfortable in the summer. If I was so concerned about every tenth of a second, I’d have a different car/setup.

People are so soft these days. Who wants ac when you can have the windows down and listen to the exhaust note.
@sigmamale724118 күн бұрын
@@kevingrantonic8812 Yeah, especially when it has been 118 degrees past 6pm every godamn day and it's been like that for the last 3 weeks straight with no relief in sight...Who needs A/C?, I do and I'm not soft!

Gosh, I was thinking of buying a Trans Am in '73 with that SD455 engine, which I think was the most powerful engine that year. I ended up buying a new '73 vette instead. But those were nice cars.

Nice looking 73 trans am, and really not a bad price if you want a modified car, you should really remove the sd on the shaker hood scoop, nobody likes a clone

Aftermarket items reduces the value on a car that is that highly optioned and so close to being factory correct. It 'was' a survivor.

Really nice looking car but totally stock it was a dog. Very slow.

Cant stand those over size rims on classic muscle...looks like a childs toy....they only made 3130 73 auto TAs...should have restored that car correctly ..sad😢
