Laggan Wolftrax Black Route | The Roughest Trail Centre?

Me and Taylor headed up to the Scottish Highlands at the end of April for a couple of weeks of mountain biking. In this video we arrive at our base for the first week, Bunroy Park, before heading out to explore the black trail at Laggan Wolftrax. This trail was so much fun and pretty technical for a trail center. Sliding around on the slick rocks caused my bike to take a decent amount of damage, but it was definitely worth it! The camera doesn't show how steep those rock sections are. I definitely found it harder than any other UK trail centre black. There's rarely an obvious line down anything, and most sections can't be rolled down because of awkwardly positioned rocks, you need to commit and get some momentum. Loved it though.

What a brilliant looking place and especially for a trail centre .....Afan Trail centre in South Wales is pretty much the same idea ....a Trail centre but with Natural type trails . Great Video

Another sick edit. Have sent you a 👍 You were riding well. I went to Laggan tired after 3 days in Torridon and rode it badly. Those wet rocks are lethal!

We travelled up to Fort William from Carlisle a couple of weeks ago and did Laggan on the way, I agree it's the roughest black trail I've ever done, so nice and natural for a trail centre though.

The red route is equally testing very rugged terrain up them parts spent two weeks last summer travelling round the west coast of Scotland riding trail centres

Yeah plenty of bedrock on all the trails we rode over the few weeks we were up there. Totally different style of riding to what I'm used to but great test for the bike skills! Thanks for watching 👍

That black looks fun. What do you think about whinlatter making the top of south loop a black?

To be honest I've not ridden the top of the south since they changed it to a black grading, but I'll be checking it out soon. I never thought it was that bad even with the erosion to be fair. There seems to be quite a bit of inconsistency with trail centre grading in the UK though because I've ridden reds that are on par with some blacks and visa versa. This route at Laggan makes all of them look pretty tame haha!

Did the the tyre get a snake bite from low tyre pressure? Last weekend I had a stick the size of my pinky finger end up going through the centre of my tyre and when I had to put a tube in found the stick inside! I sewed the hole up and patched it and put shoe goo on the outside. Like gmbn said and I hope it works!

It's hard to see on the footage but I tried to hop into the rocky downslope and caught the back wheel so it was quite a bit of force. But yeah tyre pinched against one side of the rim. It's been alright at the pressure I run it at and actually still going with the plugs in at the minute, but probably going to do a proper repair like you mentioned soon. Getting a full stick into your tyre must have taken some effort though!!

I was just riding down a straight nice bit of single track and then heard the crack of a stick and the huusshhhhhh of all the air coming out really quickly. It must of been placed perfectly to smash a tyre.
