About how much did the repairs end up costing if you don't mind sharing??

I’m sorry I saw Jesse texting you back.. I’ll ask him to respond again! He’d probably say that repairs didn’t cost that much money but a lot of time!

The good news is that although they all seem to break they do not seem to sink or break up at sea , at least there are no reports . The big sell on these is the comforts of home . A buddy had one and refused to sail it anywhere because it sailed so bad . If he wanted to sail he took the 40 foot racing monohull . But what a great party platform sitting off a sandy beach .

We are happy with the comfort AND with the way she sails. We have spoken to many navel architects, engineers, and other boat owners about the repair and feel confident in her safety. This boat can cross oceans. They do all the time. We are a family of 4 and when the crew is not comfortable and can’t sleep nobody is happy.

A pretty close estimate of the project is as follows: Demo/disassemble cabin interiors- 1 day. for 1 person Prep surfaces of bulkheads (grinding off adhesive, paneling, and Plexus - 1.5 long day each side) 1 person. This was the hardest and worst part of the job. Install new fillets - .5 days each side 1 person Cut glass and organize pieces to be installed 1 short day 2 people Glass bulkheads, beds, cabin top, etc. - 1 long day each side 2 people. One person laying glass, one person mixing epoxy Reinstall interior panels and trim 1 short day each side 1 person Install new veneer on both sides of repaired bulkheads 1 day each side, 1 person Misc. clean up, touch ups, punch list, etc. .5 days 2 people Materials cost was approx $1500USD for glass, epoxy, plastic, tape, rollers, etc. If we did it again I would probably leave some Plexus intact and used as fillets instead of grinding all of it out. The way we did it by removing all the Plexus and adding new epoxy fillets is probably stronger but took a long time to get it all out. Not sure you would need to remove it all as it would probably be strong enough as a fillet with a little extra glass over it.
