My question is, would I have to apply for a Nigerian passport in Nigeria for him to avoid any potential hassle at the airport when going back to Canada? If you're Nigerian travelling to Nigeria in December with a passport that expires in January (2021), most definitely you're good to go. But what this means is that you'd have to do a renewal in Lagos before you return to your place of abode. Even if your Nigerian passport has expired, I'm aware of the fact that some airlines will still let you board, but be careful to verify from the airline first before you try this to avoid painful stories that hurt.

What is the point of Lagos International Airport tagged on this video? I was misled thinking this document can be obtained at the MM airport. Not to mention there was no need whatsoever for going to that embassy. All that document could be faxed or submitted electronically directly to their portal online and have you print out the travel paper through email. Those idiots probably spending half of the time on social media instead of printing out the documents.

Hello, I have a question, please. My daughter who is 20 years old applied for a Nigerian passport back in March 2021. Nope . Etc is a one way travel document . When you arrive in Nigeria the immigration will collect it from you . You need a valid Uk passport to go back to Uk

@@SassyFunke well even getting through the door was a headache I know you don't need a appointment the security were checking my documents at the door if u had the correct documents u was allowed through. when I entered I didnt know what to do so I stood around for abit then I walked and met a guy who helped me and directed me it was like a market place if I am honest they were not initially going to do same day for me but I met another guy who told me what to say when doing my biometrics then I paid the postal order and then was directed to wait for my passport I was there for around 5 hours but left happy as I left with my passport.

Interesting video. Did you know that UK🇬🇧 also issuing ETD Commonwealth Citizens overseas. If country high commission not there UK can help. You need contact your home country Ministry of Foreign Affairs. European Union Embassies issues ETD EU Citizens. Rule is of country embassy not in that country you go any EU Embassy. ETD important emergency travel.

You can actually travel back to Nigeria with an expired passport AS LONG as your airline is fine with it. Most airlines are BUT I would suggest you call them now to confirm.
