I feel I pissed you off with my last comment😞I was trying to explain it is “lucky” you both have jobs that you can make a decision to go home for family emergencies. I am also a nomad, I move around a lot. I live in Italy after just moving from Germany, but i am Canadian, and if there was an emergency I couldn’t go back, because I don’t have a remote job. I never meant disrespect. I would never be happy in Canada again. So I get it. You obviously are supper happy in California, so get back then when it is right for you! Fun weekend with Alexa! Cali is way expensive so really think hard before moving back. I live in Ventura County (lived in Cali my whole life) and cost of living is ridiculous. Have a fiend who lives in Laguna Hills and can only afford it by renting out a room. Yes Cali has a lot of offer but so expensive $$$$. Consider what you retirement plan will be and go from there. I would think as a creator she would want to pay less taxes by living out of CA. This is why so many Californians have moved to my hometown (Austin, Texas). They make significantly more by leaving California- less taxes, less traffic, lower rent, affordable houses, cheaper food prices, etc. The weather is perfect, the beach is nice, but everything else? Nah. But just my opinion (I have lived many places!)

I'm Canadian but I live in the most expensive province in an expensive city due to the beaches, wineries which is hard but the province next door is very right leaning. Does that impact people? With everything going on in the States id be so nervous to move to Texas with all the rights being taken away. Or do people not worry about it?

@@1301274a I've heard how pricey some of the areas in Canada are from people I know in Kelowna (not sure where you're located). It's mind blowing how much the houses are going for! May I kindly ask what rights are being taken away? I grew up in Austin, which is the one blue/liberal city amongst all the red/conservative cities in Texas, so my views may be different than others. I'm an interesting mix of both liberal and conservative. I want to be able to carry something to protect myself and my kids, but I also want no reproductive restrictions placed on women. I want more conservative policies in schools, as the liberal junk has destroyed the school system (it's the worst it's ever been, check out the stats on violence in school these days because teachers can't be strict anymore and how many people are now homeschooling). Some "progressive" changes are really bad for our city and the result we are now witnessing are homeless camps EVERYWHERE, more crime, worse schools, and less rental/housing properties because of stupid Air bnb's jacking up the entire city forcing generations of Austinites to move. As for the womens rights and reproductive choices, there are many underground groups that can provide women with the necessary funds and travel if they should need it. I honestly just think this country is a mess. I wish we could just get a damn NORMAL person as president to unite us all and make us want to improve these issues. I fear for the next election...
