One thing to check is to see if the Bow GuidePRO is causing the fence to flex which would account for the disparity between top and bottom thickness measurements during resawing. I recently got the GuidePRO for my Laguna 14bx with the stock fence, and the GuidePRO has enough force to flex the fence causing exactly what you were seeing. Thank you for showing your experience with the fence.

Do you have the STL files for the end caps available?? I'd really like to print a set for my fence. A couple points I'd like to share, first, adding the 3rd hole for mounting the fence wasn't really necessary. Once the fence bolts onto the two pieces that make up the bracket, it self levels. Next, I noticed your bandsaw shares a feature that my Harvey bandsaw has, a second miter slot on the left side of the blade. The mounting bracket gets in the way of making that slot available for use. I roughly mounted the fence to my table, and, using a silver Sharpie, I marked where to cut the mounting bracket. A few cuts with an angle grinder, a little bit of touch-up on the bench grinder, and a few shots of rattle can black primer, and I have both miter slots at my disposal.

Talk about having patience! So much work just to get it adjusted!

The fence adjusts easy, but dialing a bandsaw in with the blade and guides is a process.

Thanks for the video and the review of the controls on the Driftmaster! The Snodgrass method for adjusting the guide bearings is excellent. His advice for "gullet on crown" for the blade should be ignored for a wide resaw blade that is as wide as recommended by the manufacturer. You will never be able to achieve what he promotes for that.

I have the same saw and the fence is almost worthless. I have been debating on what to get. Still not sure.

12:00 that isn't the Snodgrass method. That is the method every bandsaw is telling you to adjust to no matter if you have solid or bearing type guides. They don't touch. Snodgrass method is about putting the gullet of the blade in the center of the wheel, which you say you cannot do.

What light do you have on your bandsaw, and is it an aftermarket or did it come with it? Thanks

It’s the jet one made for the saw. It’s an optional accessory that they sell.

I installed this fence on my Laguna 14|12 and have enjoyed the results. Worked through all the issues except the sharp corners, Dad would use duck tape. I like your solution, would you be interested in making another set for a fellow user? I just subscribed to your channel.

Or if you do not have a 3d printer (like me) a quick touch with a file and those sharp metal corners no longer are as big a problem....I had to do that on far too many of my aluminum extrusion tools. But now they dont slice my hands when I bump into them.
