In my youth Eiler 1960 Eiler could be found on the corner of Forest and PCH. He usually was on the Ocean side (in front of Mc cues toy store) though sometimes he would be on the other side of the street on Park.

I remember Eiler Larson.as the greeter for so long. He always stood at the Corner of Brooks Street and PCH where the POTTERY SHACK used to be same side of the street as SHATZ BAKERY. What a guy. After his passing, he was mourned by the entire community. I am so pleased that number 1 has assumed this position. It's Laguna tradition and such kindness and kind words and gestures will be always chrished when we think Laguna Beach and that wonderful greeter Nice video. Thank you.☺️🙋‍♀️🙏🏼🙏🏼🤙🏻🤙🏻. ..

There is another video (17 seconds is all) on this guy on youtube. It was dated "1963"--which means this guy has been doing this for at least 60 years now! He sure is well known!

The first time Eiler Larson waved at me was when I was five years old. Those were good days. He made me feel significant.

I knew the #1 Unnamed Archer as the Greeter.. I'm sure others did a wonderful job, but #1 was my friend I'll always remember him smiling and saying 'You're perfect!'

Ahhh. The "old" laguna. I met this man. He was a great man. Now, we got some dude from Jersey schlepping down brews, smokin some dubes,dancing like some guy with terets and a serious drug issue? You are distracting traffic to the point of near collisions. He knows people. Like lady gag gag. Another talentless talent. The message is not the same as it was before. A simple "hi" or "your wonderful" will do. Not some mj glitter fade. Just like the times. They have changed.:( If he wants to contribute to the community, do it by abiding by laws. 1. No open container. 2. Stop ridin yer bike on the sidewalk. 3. Get a job. Maybe Hollyweird? A movie? Sequels are NEVER as good as the original. Good luck selling that one.
