It's crazy to see the speed difference's between TA and TA2. TA reaches the same speeds on these tighter tracks as TA2 on bigger wider and faster tracks

Just watched it to see what the "TV" coverage said and showed in the pass Boris Said made to win the race. It is racing SCCA, not pre-school follow the leader. Dyson had a great car and was driving away with the race. The commentary team pointed out throughout the race that Boris Said was saving his tires and wanted to be superior at the end. On that re-start Boris did what any real racer would do when the guy in front of him messes up and opens the door for you to lead and win a race, he went for it! Dyson ended up with a flat tire from the love tap because unfortunately for him the valve stem snapped. (Why is it sticking out there anyway?) So what happens? Tyson cries like a pre-schooler and the SCCA zaps Said with a 40 second penalty... for what? Being a competitive racer? You know, the sort of racers people like to see? Ever heard of Earnhardt? Mario Andretti? Dan Gurney? Jeff Gordon? Darrell Waltrip? Parnellli Jones? A.J. Foyt? Trust me folks, all of them and many, many more would have done the same thing. If the Trans Am had fans in the stands, they all would have cheered. No wonder there are only 12 or so TA cars, seems to be a class of baby want-to-be racers. Wusses !!!

I would call Chris Dyson “ not a real racer” but I completely agree with your Points. But the No Fans Aspect is due to the Liberal Democrats having California completely Closed

@@Kyleconley59 Actually the state has done as well as it can with the Covid 19 crisis. And actually, at Laguna Seca they could have let another 10,000 in if they knew about the event and wanted to go. There are a lot of reasons racing attendance is down, and moves like disqualifying a driver for racing are only a part of the reasons. The number one reason is money. Most of which is that the cost for someone to go to a race is way to costly, and it takes a very dedicated fan to want to pay it.

It’s not SCCA. They lease the series out to SVRA, and I believe Dorsey Schroeder is the guy who makes decisions on driver contact.

So, I'm a bit late to the party because I'm a bit behind on watching these... but Dyson leaves a massive opening for Boris, gets out-raced, then complains about it and he's rewarded for whining about making a mistake and someone taking advantage of it? He complains about Boris racing him... and they take the win from Boris. What in the blue hell is that? Do they not want the drivers to race because I thought that was the whole point of... you know... racing.
