Love this song, I remember seeing Lagwagon back in the early 2000’s. It was a show with other bands like Mad Caddies, Mighty Bosstones, h2O, Randy , Midtown etc. It was a stacked lineup. The good old days! Great cover! 👍

That sounds like a good lineup for sure. I remember seeing them back in 97 for the first time. Good times.

Great band and definitely influential although they were never my favorite growing up which is pretty weird considering everyone who’s into punk/skate punk love them.

Thanks brother! Yeah, definitely one of my favorite songs from these guys, it was on a constant loop growing up. I try to record all of these covers with just the guitar plugged into the amp, that's it. Unless the original song has some effects in the mix, then I will try to emulate that with a pedal or using post effects via Logic Pro. Cheers 🥃

Man, you have some great guitars! I love Les Paul's and have 5 of them! None are custom shop though! I was considering selling a few of them and going all in of a CS R9 or something. Are all your LPs custom shops? I really like my standards, maybe I am being irrational!
@90sPunkRockCovers11 ай бұрын
I used to own a few USA standards in the past but sold them all as time went by. I got hit by the Custom Shop bug a few years ago when used prices were more realistic and attainable. The only non CS Les Paul I own is my old ‘99 Classic which I will never sell since it was my first real guitar. I just really like the feel of the CS guitars, the neck and frets feel much better in the hand to me. Sonically they are probably %5 improvement (not always) than your non CS models. To be quite honest, a lot of it is just hype.
@slashtrio11 ай бұрын
@@90sPunkRockCovers cool man, I assumed some of it was hype. I have been playing a while and am a pretty good guitarist, but I took a lesson from a really high level lead player a while back and he had a custom shop. I played it and it didn’t feel any different then my standard, at least not any more significant difference then what I have experienced with various LP standards. But yea, prices are quite high now. I think part of why I want one is irrational. I like the VOS or lightly aged look, which is silly to chase a guitar or that price based on aesthetics! If I get a change to play several sometime that would help. Unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near shops that would carry a range of CS LPs. I have some really nice standards with nice tops and good weights, but I guess it’s just a case of GAS as they say in the guitar world. Oh yea, I have a 1990 classic too. My first LP. Crazy thin neck but I love it.
@90sPunkRockCovers11 ай бұрын
@@slashtrio those early 90s classics were almost as good and period correct as a custom shop 1960 model at the time. Mid to late 90s I think Gibson realized they had made a “Custom Shop” model with the price of a regular USA model and started changing some of the specs like including those hideous yellow frets like mine has lol. A lot of the CS being better debate is mostly hype. I’ve owned a lot of guitars over the years and they all have had some pros and cons, even the most expensive CS models. If it feels and sounds good, who cares if it’s made in Mexico, US, CS, what have you. It’s all personal preference and how you want to spend your money in the end. To me it really does come down to aesthetic and feel and I think I’ve been lucky with the few CS guitars I own that have deliver the goods.
