LAHDC’s e-cycle subsidy scheme aims to create greener, healthier Ladakh

Advocate Tashi Gyalson, Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Leh, together with Deputy Chairman Tsering Angchuk and District Commissioner Santosh Sukhdeve, distributed e-cycles to beneficiaries under the LAHDC's subsidy scheme on November 12 at the District Motor Garage in Leh.

The cycling track should be located within Leh city, and it is feasible to construct it along one side of the main highway, connecting like Leh, Choglamsar, Shey, Thiksey, Spituk, Phyang etc. Tourists will also be able to use the cycling track, as it will be conveniently located along the main highway connecting key destinations. This will provide both locals and visitors with an accessible route for cycling and exploring the area. One side of the main highway will be designated as the cycling track, while the other side will be allocated as a footpath. This arrangement will ensure a safe and organized space for both cyclists and pedestrians

Great initiative for cycling track beside road but many drivers drink and drive so track has to be not mixed with road and Cycle is good to keep air clean but its also dangerous if Batteries are not Disposed properly if battery goes in water and land field can cause serious health issues
