these power banks work well, the solar panel doesn't do much but the led is quite bright, they can be assembled without the glue but its best to use the glue, i used tested 2nd hand cells with all mine and they have been working great for several years now

Always make sure the cells are at the same voltage before connecting them in parallel. If some cells are fully charged and some are empty, a large current can flow and damage them.

For 18650 ion batteries, look at the following: 1) batteries must be the same model 18650 2) the same voltage 3.7V 3) the same capacity (battery capacity is expressed in mAh)

That would depend on your meaning of "works" is. It might "work" if it were in the sun for weeks." I think most of the solar power , would go to running the 4 lights that "indicate it is working".

How many screws are in the bag? I counted 11 each in my four kits I bought. I also think that each battery should be brand new from the same manufacturer, and charged before construction begins with a BMS charger because there may not be a control circuit in the 18650 batteries you buy from China. Sometimes they are not very truthful. Charge on a 5P setting, keep your wires or solar tabbing as short as possible.

In the video you showed how you assembled solar power. When you connect the red and black electric wire from the LED light, you soldered the red wire to the SUN contact - and the red electric wire from the LED light goes to the LED +. You have three types of connectors on the module for your Solar Power Bank: 1) B + and B- are the battery connectors 2) SUN + and SUN- are connectors for the solar panel 3) LED + and LED - are connectors for LED light that is for printed circuit board to 20 SMD LEDs.

I've built a few of these, and you're right. The LEDs that indicate that the cells are charging by solar consumes more energy than the panel produces. One improvement I might try is to disconnect those LEDs, and test whether the solar panel can maintain the cells at full charge over time as they slowly self-discharge.

I don't like the kit that you used. Sorry. 1. Far too much adhesive tape and hot glue involved in the assembly. I was waiting for chewing gum and baling wire to appear next. Quite frankly, in a good kit, ZERO adhesive tape and hot glue should be necessary. 2. Which dumb design provides screws to secure the pieces of the case, but provides absolutely nothing to secure the internal components. Wow.
