I built a Pc with a 7800x3d and a 7800xt. My budget was 400 for a monitor. This is the only one in this price range with AMD sync pro. I am beyond pleased. I run it at 180hz. I play maxed out at 1440p. I don't have a point of reference, but my buddy who built my PC says that it's about the best that I could have done without spending 300 more for an OLED monitor. I believe him.

@John-tk6wd yeah great upgrade. But just know a lot of movies will have black bars on the sides. Unless you watch 21:9 aspect ratio movies. Also some older games will have the black bars as well.

you HAVE to be using native displayport out of your device to get the 180hz. HDMI will only get you to 100hz. It still looks good tho.

Very good review. I bought one myself. I got an issue of blured view especially working with documents. I've said something about settings of refreshrate- can it be it or you think it something else? Its connected with dell vostro 5370 (not bed laptop but for now its pretty old).

Are you using hdmi? If so I'm guessing your laptop is not running hdmi 2.0 so go into the settings of the monitor and make sure it's not on 2.0 hdmi put it on hdmi 1.0

So that is very interesting because it looks like the same monitor will all the tech just 100hz. If you buy this for gaming you may be disappointed with the refresh rate. But if you casual game or game but don't need a high refresh rate it could be perfect for you.

Good luck finding another one with similar specs for the price. I got mine about a month ago and I’ve been on it every night for many hours, and that’s with my PS5. (Some games can do 120fps) but I have my first PC delivering Friday! Got the Alienware r16 with 14900kf and 4080 super 😱 now I’ll be able to max out the 180 max hz! And when I play the PS5 on games that are 60hz, it’ll display a 3840x2160 which is UHD which is 4K. Which I’m kinda confused because I thought 1440 was the max but maybe just for anything more than 60hz. Idk 🤷‍♂️.

If you use the Display Port you should get the best out of this monitor. Also this should work with Gsync and AMD Freesync but some people say there is a flickering. I think your ti super will be powerful enough to not have that happen. But I can't say for sure.

I had the same problem with an older ultrawide from BenQ. It didnt had g-sync compatible, because it simply didnt work with nvdida gpus and I had stutter instead of smooth gameplay. People said it was fine with AMD. So i guess, when ASUS doesn't go for the compatible route, there's a reason. Also the ASUS can't run gsync with elmb sync at the same time. I think that's one of the reasons why it didn't get the compatible certification.

@@AtHomewithLucas I don't know why it happens or if its a common problem. I tried changing the DP cable i was using to a better one, switched it for hdmi and tested with other GPUs. No one that had the same problem with that same cooler master monitor had no idea either. Cooler masters own support is no help either. I have an open ticket going for over a month now and did an rma through the shop i bought it from which is also taking ages since they asked cooler master for more information on the problem.

As far as I know it doesn't have wifi so it won't be able to screen mirror. Now you can plug a wifi device into the hdmi port and screen mirror to it.

Navigate to your PS5 settings, go to "Screen and Video" > "Video Output" and ensure "Enable 120Hz Output" is toggled on. Make sure you're using a high-quality HDMI 2.1 cable, which is necessary for 120Hz output. Yes the Asus is newer so may be better as it has newer tech and perfect stand but the G5 has a better image quality.

No I didn't notice that. But I had a good pc to monitor refresh rate. I have heard if your pc and monitor are not on the correct refresh rate you can see ghosting.

Font size too small, when unscaled. Way much too small. Scaled, it will no longer be natively sharp. Therefore not so good for desktop mode. It is ideal for games.

It's a good panel but not as sharp as others (even after adjusting sharpness). But with the ability to customize it to fit your gaming, you could make it perfect. I just didn't like the look of it in daily use. Also, the 1500r is not the best curve. I like 1000r a lot more. Gives a much better immersion.
