Being a German band(Opus, not Laibach), has censorship gotten that bad? I remember the idea that the German government wanted to delete the runes off landmarks. Like Egyptians did records of dynasty leaders. The runes(at least some) go back to early indo-European times. Some are in Sanskrit yet. In Scandanavia, obviously. It's like putting every country's history books related to World War II together and realize the parts deleted in each country. Madness.
@reginakniprode2464 жыл бұрын
@@phillipcarpenterjr1576 the madness is far worse than you think. it is not just the forbidden runes, but an all-encompassing falsification of history. The museums are politically correct, the science lies brazenly. For example, about the age of the sky disc of nebra. Anyone who wants to write a doctorate in Germanic antiquity MUST lie. Otherwise his graduation will not be recognised. I know someone personally to whom this happened. In Sweden they destroy artefacts and sites.
@lower_case_t3 жыл бұрын
@@phillipcarpenterjr1576 You're not allowed to show a swastika as a political statement here, yes. But of course, documentaries, museums, educational material etc. can show it. And swastikas that do not represent the 3rd Reich are something entirely different anyway. Nobody would give a f**k about a Ganesha statue with that symbol (well, if a known Nazi community would use that loophole, they would probably still get in trouble). I don't think you can call that censorship. BTW, neither Opus nor Laibach are German. There is a controversy going on here about holocaust denial, though. Germany, 15 other European countries and Israel criminalize that, and many people (including me) aren't happy that law decides what is and isn't true. The evidence is overwhelming, and those who aren't convinced cannot be forced to change their mind by law either. It's futile, you could not get rid of flat earthers by banning their belief either. Cheers from Germany!
@jcsahnwaldt3 жыл бұрын
@@phillipcarpenterjr1576 - Deleting runes off landmarks? What are you talking about? Runes have never been in widespread use in the area of today's Germany. A total of five runestones have been found in Germany, and they are protected, cherished and on display in museums. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runenstein Sounds like you're an American who read something like Breitbart and fell for nonsense like "in Germany, everything that's the least bit conservative is censored".

Milan always struck me as Vlad Dracula looking. What, with his headgear and his mustache. Similar to Vlad's in the famous portrait. Wonder if his look is based off that.

I haven't heard this since the 80s! I remember as a kid we were at my grandma's house and this song was on TV. I know everyone was staring at TV and commenting on that song. That moment is etched in my memory. ❤️

Now, I understood a male and female shoot an arrow together means reproduction. It's really artistic.

Neue Slowenische Kunst peaking. Using an Austrian pop/rock/reggae song, but interpreting its lyrics, using new ones. A song to sing along in the original version, Laibach begins with industrial-style music, and home-made video which gets more and more surreal and turinng to show death. If you just follow the crowd, you perish with the rest. The supposedly happy "Live if live" song by Opus actually has dark undertones, as shown by this Laibach version.
