Laika has in my opinion the most consistent rogues gallery in children’s animation, from the other mother, the witch, snatcher, moon king and beyond their villains all have stage presence and are very complex and interesting parts of the story that never cease to amaze me cannot wait for Wildwood next year

Archibald Snatcher's Death was always pretty satisfying. Seeing him be a menace to the boxtrolls, gaslighting an entier town to be against them, all because he was deluded with the desire for power and prestige. Seeing him get his hard earned position, as he's prolonging his inevitable death. He's got both, what he wanted and what he had coming.

EXACTLY, bro when he says to much about the truth of the other world then it's the mother that shuts him up. Examples: after Coraline song is doneother father reveals too much and the piano that is controlled BY OTHER MOTHER covers his mouth. Another example is when the other mother turns him into a pumpkin to shut him up either by removing him or pulling one of the vines to close his mouth. THIS IS PROOF THAT HE IS TRYING TO HELP RATHER THAN TRAP.
