These low messy buns look great. 1. and 3. were my favorites. As a long haired guy I think these will do fine, thanks! Normal, tight ponytail usually gives me a headache after 8 hours at the office and these look comfy and proper enough. Luckily we have very loose dress code.

hey thin hair girls!!! what’s helped me the most is 1) not washing my hair everyday and 2) dry shampoo. I literally CANNOT use mousse it makes my hair crunchy and separated but dry shampoo on ur roots, back of the head and CRUCIALLY flip ur hair over and brush it upside down then load that girl up with some dry shampoo and shake it out. Try not to brush it out after putting all the dry shampoo in just toss with ur fingers and BAM instant volume! My buns have doubled in size !💗💗

Thanks for these variations! At my age (and with more than a few silver strands), a low bun can be a little too Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies, but a controlled messiness keeps it fresh. For a little extra texture, I flip the ponytail through itself (I don't know how better to explain that) before forming any bun -- gives it a nice little twist on the sides.

Just learned not to twist the hair so tight before rolling it into a bun circle, guess that's why mine always looks like a ballerina small bun. 🌸🌸IF YOU HAVE XXL HAIR (mines 3.5 ft and thick) the second bun worked best for me. But when you wrap it around, go around until there’s no hair left, then pin it wherever it lands. I also added a hairtie after it was done to keep everything in place. Hope this helped!!🌸🌸

Yo I have tried about 59 messy bun tutorials. None of them worked. I tried this one but instead of doing a low pony I did a kind of high pony. I used the first bun method and yayy it worked. I used a scrunchie to secure the bun as well as pins

Thank you for the tutorial. My hair is longer and thicker than yours so I used the basic premise you did to form a base for the bun and used hairpins instead of bobby pins to secure the bun (hairpin work better for thicker hair). My bun looked a little different than yours of course, but I'm quite happy with the results! 😊
