यह शहर हिमालय क्षेत्र की निकटता के कारण एक उपोष्णकटिबंधीय जलवायु का अनुभव करता है। क्षेत्र में दर्ज औसत तापमान 23 डिग्री है। जनवरी सबसे ठंडा महीना है जबकि जून सबसे गर्म है। इस गंतव्य पर जाने का सबसे अच्छा समय सितंबर और अक्टूबर के महीनों में हो सकता है।
Known for its wood carving cottage industry, Saharanpur is one of the flourishing cities of Uttar Pradesh. It has emerged as an important tourist destination, mainly owing to its rich historical and cultural heritage. Established during the Mughal empire, Saharanpur has witnessed the rise and fall of many empires, all of which, have left some legacy in this fertile Doab land, making it an important archaeological site. It is a booming business center with trades pertaining to food, industrial goods and agro-based industries. The 18th century Company Garden, established by the East India Company, still remains a favourite amongst tourists. Visitors will not be left disappointed as Saharanpur houses plenty of temples, the most famous being, the 200-year-old Shiva Temple in Barsi.
This city experiences a subtropical climate due to the closeness of the Himalayan region. The average temperature recorded in the region is 23 degrees. January is the coldest month while June is the hottest. The best time to visit this destination can be in the months of September and October.

Though there are around 100 shops in khata kheri market, saharanpur but this is one of the biggest shop having huge collection. I went to this shop and purchased a big side table for 3700/-. Got the polishing done at my city for 800/-. So total cost was 4500/-. The same stool is available in Kirti Nagar for 9000-10,000/-

Just ensure that the wood used is properly seasoned and approve your furniture in raw state only, i e before any paint/ polish sign on it somewhere. This is to ensure that there isn't any damage (or white wood) that has been covered by the seller in pain/ polish. Rest assured, it will serve you for decades..
