We made the hike up to the famous Lake Agnes Tea House above Lake Louise in Banff National Park. Lake Louise was just as beautiful as we had hoped it would be even despite the clouds and smoke.
What a treat it was to see the turquoise blue water under the stark cliffs behind! Even though it rained on us, and the hike up to the lake agnes tea house was steeper than we expected we had a great time.
We also took the short easy hike up the Johnston Canyon, just off of the Bow Valley Parkway. The hike was beautiful and a great opportunity to see Banff up close and personal. It was so cool. It almost looked like a Disney version of the outdoors, haha. We definitely recommend this one to anybody who needs special accommodation for accessibility, or generally anybody who wants a beautiful hike without all the work.
We saw a neat little off trail area that we though would be fun to explore. Much to our surprise, we stumbled upon a proposal along the river! What a cool surprise!
We also went on a wildlife tour put on by Discover Banff. Unfortunately, this tour was more for people who wanted to watch wildlife from the comfort of a bus. We saw some elk and a few deer, but not the bears and wolves that we were hoping to see. And those we saw from a pretty long distance. It was nice to not have to drive though :)
