Very nice film of one of the prettiest places in the world.

Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I agree, a truly magnificent place in a lesser known range.

I once hiked up to Stonewall Pass from Trinity Lake, which is a brutal climb but the view of Siligo Meadows from there is awesome!

Wow! That definitely must have been brutal. Long and steep. That's a hike to be proud of. Good effort.

nice trip, nice video, I am looking forward to doing the same 'off road' route as you, thanks for the beta! Might be a bit too much snow in early summer to safely navigate those steeper slopes w/o proper snow travel gear, ice axe and crampons..

Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to comment. This trip still ranks up there as one of my favorites. Beautiful scenery and less crowded. If my recollection is correct, the year I went had record breaking snowfall so I was forced to wait until mid-summer. I think in a more typical winter coupled with some 70+ degree days preceding your trip it may be viable in mid to late June. Like you stated, if one tackles it earlier it would be wise to have the aforementioned snow travel gear just in case. Let me know if you end up doing the route or something similar. I would like to hear about your experience! Have a wonderful summer full of grand adventure :)

Cool vid. I visited Echo Lake last year and ascended the pass you came down, didn't know you could descend the other side and wish I had after seeing what's over there.

Hi Mike. Thanks for kind words. It appears we both had an adventure and got off the beaten path. There's always something around the corner and as a fellow explorer I'm certain you'll be back to see that and other sights. It's sort of endless and that makes it so captivating. The most difficult part is deciding what trips and routes to take given the darn limitations on time. Have a good summer and I hope we all have the opportunity to get out and enjoy the backcountry.
