Great video. I just stumbled across this video and thoroughly enjoyed it and subscribed straight away. We’ve recently returned home from 2 weeks at Domme in the Dordogne 2nd trip there loved it there with our caravan had a riverside pitch. We had a tunnel crossing on Friday 24th June and back on Saturday 8th July. But next year I’m already planning lake annecy then back to the Dordogne the following year. I have narrowed the sites down to the 1 you stated on and Lac Bleu at doussard as they have lake side pitches there but can’t quite make my mind up between the 2. Anyway must now watch your other France trip videos. If your others are as good as this I will certainly enjoy them. Great video

Aw thank you that's very kind, glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for subscribing 🥰 The Dordogne is on our list to visit so will check out that location thank you 😁 The site we stayed on was really lovely and had a nice atmosphere too - some of the pitches were quite tight but that's because they managed to squeeze a few campervans onto tent pictures to help. If we stay there again will book a specific pitch next time but we definitely would return. We originally wanted to book a lakeside campsite but they were all full so would like to try that next time though - we can see why you are planning next year already, France is very well set up for camping 🏕️😁👍

Just knew you would love Annecy, how could you not. 😉. Our favourite was the old town with the stone arches, and all the lovely restaurants. Next time you go, and I know there’s bound to be a ‘next time’, take a trip out to Chamonix at the foot of Mount Blanc. Vito not too far to drive and you can take a trip up the ranch and pinion railway to the Mer du Glace and walk in the ca e dug into the glacier - unforgettable Thanks for another great video

Love Annecy, always reminds me of the Italian lakes and this video reminded me of a tour of Italy we did in our VW Cali in 2019 especially when we camped on the southern shores of Lake Como with a similar cycle path to Annecy. You guys looked like you were having a fantastic time. Looking forward to our new van arriving but at the moment there's more chance of winning the lottery. We visited once before but not in a van so would love to go back and try it, thank you 🥰 Yes we said the same thing, it reminded us very much of Italy, especially the terrain 👍 The steak was very good indeed, not expected as it was on the campsite restaurant but a very pleasant surprise 😋

Lovely, I go there once or twice a year for the paragliding so I recognise a lot of the places you visited. Next time you go, have a go at Tandem paragliding - Flyeo do tandems in July and August and they are just next to the landing field :D

Thank you both 🥰 Hopefully Auto-Trail will have one at the NEC in October if you can get there, they had one on February and it was very popular but should let you try the roof access etc. it's not too tricky once you find the best way that works for you 👍 Ref the bike rack we actually didn't buy one in the end, the plan is to but a tow bar mounted one that does swing or slide out for door access but unfortunately we couldn't get a tow bar in time for the trip, it was out of stock and no supply so we ended up buying the two folding bikes for this trip. Full review coming in a few weeks as they were brilliant and didn't feel small like folding bikes 🙂👌

Thank Alan 🥰 The campsite was called Camping la Ravoire, they own 2 sites in the area very close to each other but that's the one we stayed at, very nice site and lots of people were booking for 2023 when we stayed it seems to be very popular but not too crowded which was nice.

Looks amazing and definitely added to our itinerary for next year. Quick question - how dog friendly is the area and are the cycle paths suitable for walking the dogs? Our two beagles travel with us everywhere and their happiness takes priority over me, the wife!

Ha ha 🤣 The dog definitely come first in our house too 😁 It seemed to be very dog friendly, lots of walks in the area and the cycle path and people path were mostly clearly defined. The only word of caution some of the bikes go past quite quickly, if Mollie was with us she would have probably chased a few 😂 Lovely area and wouldn't hesitate to return with our dog

where do you get a list of camp sites to stay at

Hi Alan, we (Iain usually 😂) use maps to find the area we want to stay and then use Google to find local campsites to compile a list then read the locks guide reviews on Google which usually contain pictures to verify the websites. It doesn't take long to shortlist 2 or 3 sites and then either book online or call them in advance to check availability. We will try just driving round one day but Caroline likes to have somewhere booked in case we have to wild camp 😂👍
