I just came from there. Amazing experience. What a beautiful place ! Super cool to touch the soil and casa del mundo was awesome! We went with a fresh off the oven instructor, I’m an instructor and another owsi joined us so it was a lot of fun. Ati divers’ was pretty economic, kinda slow to respond if they even respond, which I think is the biggest downside. I like the fact that they make it happen in such a remote place, lead weights were handmade by them, and one small compressor , one tank at a time, takes long hours to fill the few tanks they have. I do admire that. The week I went it was a special one because they said they had never had that many divers in a week. In my second dive two other guys joined, then the next day they had a rescue, two fun divers, and then more and more. I really liked diving in the lake regardless of the lack of viz and the bacteria situation. I think is very special. I was expecting to go to SAMABAJ which we booked, but they canceled the same morning, too bad. I’m going to be back as a volunteer at the dive shop. Since I am a Caribbean blue clear, sea level instructor, this dive site seems very special and different to me, plus I had a great time at the Iguana. Got my altitude specialty as well. 🥸

I’ve never heard Atitlan pronounced so incorrectly before.

Can you help find Nancy ng 29 years old californian woman at this lake? She went missing and the family is looking for closure

This lake is so massive you could not have one single diver able to find a lost person. A massive and expensive operation would be the only way to even try. Sad to say i doubt they will find this gal.
