Lake Belvedere, Sydney Olympic Park

Lake Belvedere, located in Sydney Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park.
We take a slow circuit around Lake Belvedere. A scenic park and picnic area in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.
The lake is home to ducks, geese, waterfowl, ibis, eels and, of course, feral carp (sigh). Fishing is not allowed here which I can understand although it would be nice to see something make a dent in the carp population. Since you're not allowed to fish for them you can only guess, but my observations are that some of these carp are well over 60cm in length and must way well over 5kg (they are fat:).
On weekends and holidays it can be very busy here. There is a bicycle hire company and lots of people use the tracks here to learn to ride. Or not. This day was a quiet one though, so we get some lovely views of the park and lake.
