There really weren't any shops that I saw! But the town we stayed in wasn't particularly touristy. Plus I imagine the shopping would be slightly better in Milan haha :) And you can swim in the lake! I didn't actually think you could so we didn't bring bathing suits but we saw lots of people swimming!
