The haunted graveyard is fantastic! It is a 45 minute indoor/outdoor haunt with about 15 different scenes. I'd say it's better quality than something like a Cedar Fair haunt. If you go in early October you can reserve a time to go through it and skip a massive line. Also a bonus is that the park is open late for haunt and Boulder Dash is a walk-on for night rides. Love the beer selection at Lake Compounce!

I grew up in Connecticut and still reside close by. As it appeals heavily to people living in the area, as well as tourists staying for weekends at the park’s campground, pricewise its a great deal to get a season pass....it’s less than the cost of a day admission to the nearby and badly overcrowded Six Flags New England. One time visitors can get deals with coupons and during off peak days. Ghost Hunt is always crowded as the attraction has amazing air conditioning, and the Wildcat has been fully restored....a national historic landmark. Yes it’s a family park but also hosts weddings, functions, and public events. Wildlife is everywhere due to the park’s location....when the sky ride ran you could seeing lots of animals on the skyride up the mountain. Due to the accident at the other park, insurance companies pulled the plug...a shame as the ride gave a great view. Haunted Graveyard is great, as is Christmas in the park.

Oh cool! I went here last week with my school for a field trip. I went on Boulder Dash (as my first ever coaster) not knowing how fast it actually was. I was on the second to last seat and my head was bopping out of control! It was terrifying 😅😂

I think Compounce's Boomerang is actually not bad. Obviously there's not much to distinguish it. I'm sad that they shut down the sky ride. That used to be the other thing that really made Compounce unique, aside from Boulder Dash.

As a skier, the whole reaction to the chair incident intrigues me. Most western skiers don't even drop the bar unless it has a footrest and we're tired.
@ThoosieJP7 жыл бұрын
yeah it ticks me off too and for snowboards we can have atleast 5 to 10 pounds on 1 foot and it could be on there from 2 minutes to 10 minutes

people fall off ski lifts all the time, and no one bats an eye... one kid jumps off a ski lift at an amusement park, and suddenly roller coasters are unsafe 😂
@ThoosieJP7 жыл бұрын
yeah it is ridiculous IDK how people can fall off of it its harder to fall of a ski lift at an amusement park than a ski resort. Ive spent 20 minutes with 5-6 pounds of snowboard on one foot I didnt fall off

The haunted graveyard is so much fun!!! I’m local and live about 15 minutes away and iv been going every year for 3 years it’s so great. Things jump out at you and you even go through the woods! Even after you get out of the haunted graveyard all the rides are still going on and you will see clowns and other creepy things wandering around the park.

@yallv3rylittl3tam34 жыл бұрын

Nice park, but too many trashy carnival rides. They need to get a large scale train with stations, put in pavers for the pathways (blacktop is ugly and cheap) and the Starlight Ballroom needs to have a stage musical - like they did in the past.

There is nothing original to The Wildcat roller coaster. Hershey used to own the park and they rebuilt the coaster top to bottom back in 1986

2:40 I really need to criticize your critique of Boomerangs. I’m quite shocked that yu claimed to have been on so many Boomerangs and you still don’t know how to ride them without banging your head?! Really? I’ve been on many 6-7 and it didn’t take me that long to figure how to ride them consistently comfortably. I don’t think it’s inherently an issue with the design of the rides if you want my honest opinion. Yes, some are smoother than others, I will give you that. However I can not lump them together and call them all terrible in such a general way.
