The lakes are a lovely place to visit and like you, we make the best of it no matter what the weather does. The site and walks looked great especially the stream by the facilities👍

Hi Tim, it was a lovely site and exceeded expectations significantly- I did wonder before we went if it was a bad choice but it was brilliant - great facilities, views and dog friendly too - we enjoyed Fell Foot too - the stream was great wasn’t it as right next to the facilities which you don’t normally see. Fell foot is a lovely park. Windermere is one of my favourite places. I’ve just watched David playing Jazz with the Wizards which I very much enjoyed. Take care Gill

Hello, the Lakes district is a lovely place to visit, we loved windermere but we were lucky with the weather when we went in September. Lovely view of the steam train. We did go on the train a ffew years ago. The campsite and facilities looked very nice too, thank you for sharing x Julie and Tony x

I remember the Castleton Caravan. It was a quality caravan and quite expensive compared to other makes such as Sprite, Eccles and Swift

Fell Foot looks lovely even in the drizzle. ( also less crowded 😉) They’ve done a great job of updating the place. So picturesque especially with the steam train. Nice site. Love sites with quirky bits. Pleased you were ok in the storm. 🚐❤️😊👍x

Thank you - we thought Fell Foot was great and wished it hadn’t rained as we would have explored further - we were very lucky with the pitch as was relatively sheltered so had a good nights sleep too 😀 All the best, David & Rachel 👍
