Another great vid John. Borrowdale is the only race I've been timed out at . . . 10 mins over at Honnister 🙄
@lakelandtrailrunner Жыл бұрын
Yup ngl I’m concerned more than normal about the timings on this one. Are you doing it this year?

@@lakelandtrailrunner Not this year no, no where near fit enough! 😃

I may never do a fell race, but your videos fuel my love of running. So as you take to the fells I take to the bridleways of Oxfordshire. Thank you John.

Nice one John. Bessyboot across to Glaramara not easy even when you can see let alone in the clag! Great summit labelling. Keep em coming - keeping me going while knee in rehab 😢.

Ah mate sorry to hear that hope the rehab goes okay. Glad you’re enjoying the vids 👌🏻

Loving the labels on the summit panoramas. The magic of editing never fails to amaze me 😂

How many swear edits 😂. Amazing watch. I was walking through those gates at Seathwaite just a few weeks ago. Memories. That path over to the fence line on glaramara is horrible in the clag. There are several sheep like trods over the top but no real defined path because of the craggy landscape. It’s not easy to get off either! Keep the vlogs coming. Thanks for sharing. Good luck in the race. 17 miles with all that ascent - hope you get good weather.

Cheers Colin. Glaramara in the clag feels like the depths of Mordor 🤞🏻 it’s a clear race day.

awesome views and videos john as always. strength and conditioning training has been helping my runs. and weighted runs. 12miler with 18kg coming up sunday 😅
@lakelandtrailrunner Жыл бұрын
Glad you like the vid mate and Good effort! Rather you than me tho.. an 18kg weighted run would destroy my knees for sure! 😂
@wyou8724 Жыл бұрын
yes mate im a bit weary of weighted runs smashing my joints. last one was 10miles 16kg 1hour 42min. feel strong when i run without the weight thoe.

Outstanding video as always mate. It was surreally brilliant to meet on top of GG! It has been 20yrs since I last ran this race, cannot remember much at all (bonked big style, it was my 30th birthday and I was in a mad rush to get to the infamous Borrowdale Bash!) The first bit could be tricky in the clag, think you got a great line there. We are going to need plenty of Bitty for this race. Fingers crossed (body currently falling to pieces) see you on the start line a week on Saturday 🤞👍😃
@lakelandtrailrunner Жыл бұрын
Haha thanks Johnny. yup I’ll be carrying extra bitty for this race mate! Was an unexpected coincidence bumping into you on GG for sure! I bailed on the Old Crown Round to save myself for this beast. Plus I’ve a bit of manflu at the mo. See you there mate! 🤘🏻

Superb! Best one yet John. Shame about the audio glitch. But really informative. This is one I'll be revisiting time & time again, for the excellent directions & precise explanations of what we're looking at. Keep up the great work.Views will only go up with this standard.

@@lakelandtrailrunner - I watched the actual race footage also - that really narrow track with the fence on your left ( you passed a small stile), was that between Bessy and Glaramara?

Some more stunning views! Great vid, did you feel almost like a scolded school boy apologising for your F bombs?😂 KZbin will like you better without them anyway 👍 Question: how do you find the fell races/register for them? Some sort of centralised website 🤷♂️
@lakelandtrailrunner Жыл бұрын
I enter the races on SiEntries mate. If you’re interested you’ll find them there. Also check out the FRA website (Fell Runners Association) for race classifications and those that aren’t on SiEntries.
