Thank you, brought back happy memories of this climb 1975 with my late wife, Joyce, she always recorded our climbs in her diary - distance and heights from our Wainwright's , Jim Sullivan :)

Yewbarrow is such a great Fell, with incredible views from the summits. I really enjoyed your video, which did it full justice. The drone footage was fantastic. Thanks for sharing your walk.

Besides the amazing video work you have done with your quad copter drone machine. Sorry I don't know the correct term. Your guide is very good quality. I enjoy your narration. Details about the hike are what people want to hear. Good music and editing. Well done.

Brilliant joe, loved every minute of your video, first class mate, i was up at Wastwater yesterday 11/02/19, looked up to Yewbarrow and thought mmm i am 60 and getting a bit too old for walks up there lol, is it a hard walk?
@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson5 жыл бұрын
Its not too bad, some recent path work has made it a bit easier. I would say not as tough as Striding Edge but still need a head for heights as there is a little rocky scrambling.
@williammilnthorp2765 жыл бұрын
@@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson Thanks Joe, keep up your great work mate. my head for heights are not that good unless i am on a decent path lol

Enjoyed your video Joe. Great shots of the mountain scenery, I think it's what drones were made for :-) I might put one on my birthday list. Which drone were you using? I'm also curious how many batteries you needed to get that footage. I assume a fair bit hit the cutting room floor?

Thank you, Ive been using the DJI Mavic Air for 2 years now and still love it. No reason to upgrade it anytime soon! I try and plan shots before taking them so minimise waste footage. Also have 3 batreries, each lasting approx 20 mins

@@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson Very good. How do you carry the folded Mavic? Do you have a hard case to protect it and the controller?
@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson4 жыл бұрын
@@overthehill370 mine came with a sachel that stores the whole package, controller and spare batteries. It also came with a hard case to fit just the Mavic. Controller can be stored separate and batteries but prefer it being all together.
@overthehill3704 жыл бұрын
@@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson Thanks. The satchel and hard case sound like you've got good options. I've just seen a review of the Mavic Air 2. A bit heavier than yours but it looks very good.... definitely a contender for that birthday list!
