Hi John. Enjoyed that very much. The pillars up there were built by the surveyors of the pipeline far below from Haweswater to Longsleddale and onwards to Manchester. Wainwright recalls walking the valley in the 50s. The whole length from the A6 bus stop. He then explored the head and sleept in the quarry buildings after the closure of Wrengill in 48. They are long since gone. It is as you say a delightful largely unspoilt corner of the Park, and we have spent 10+ holidays at the top of Longsleddale and explored every cranny. The bothy I believe was a farmstead rather than a miner's house. Thanks again for your hard work in producing a great upload.

Your rabbiting on is awesome mate, that is why I watch your videos 🤣 New camera/two camera quality is spot-on. Not been up that manor in over 30 years, must get back there asap! Really enjoyed that, top work 👍👍👍 p.s. Went over on my ankle just after that very same gate in the L100

Good to see you out mate, walking or running 👌hope the knee sorts itself soon. Injuries suck

I hope the walking videos continue to be sprinkled in. I watch primarily for the running content (and the ramblings), and as a road runner your arena scares me a little. So the walking content is great to watch as a potential entry point into being in the fells. Much appreciated

Hey John. Sorry to hear of the injury mate. Going through injury recovery myself: still getting issues from ankle turn off the last descent at Ennerdale in June! So I've been getting out on the bike, which helps with cross-training anyway. Keep the walking vids coming mate. I love my hill walking too so it's always great to have another string to your bow when injured & sometimes John, it's nice to slooow down and give the knees and ankles a rest from the constant pounding of running. Plus, I can take my brew kit on a walk and make fresh coffee, can't do that on a fell run ;) I won't be doing Langdale this year either, despite unfinished business from last year. So my running volume has decreased significantly although I got out today for a long plod around Blencathra. Heading to Scotland in a week with bike, boots and fell shoes. Love your waffling John, it's all good :D

@@ARRENG-b8j tbh I don’t think my training will be anything fancy, just plenty of miles and vert but not too much that I break myself! 😂 are you doing the LL50 next year?
