Technically this is the moment where the Cleveland title drought ended, not with the cavs
@brian99xt6 жыл бұрын
Yes, but that's hard to debate. Cleve has had minor -league level wins since the 80s/90s. And i consider Stipe Miocic a Cleveland win, a month earlier. But if you go by strictly major sports teams, cavs won a week after this.
@crovay4 жыл бұрын
@amcflfan45 There is another Cleveland team that won a league title between the 1964 Browns and the 2016 Monsters. The Crunch won 3 indoor soccer championships in the 1990's. So the drought only lasted 30 years (the first Crunch title was 1994).
@pixelythegamer32602 жыл бұрын

Believe it or not! This team is the one who broke the curse. They started t all. And 20 years down the line.. People will talk about this team starting the run of championships.
@westsideken8 жыл бұрын
I beg to differ. Stipe Miocic won the UFC heavyweight championship, starting a revitalization in the Cleveland Sports community. Then the Monsters win the Calder cup, Cavs win the NBA title, the Indians are on fire. Hopefully the Browns can at least go 9-7 and at least make the playoffs.

Honestly, having a full house of obviously devoted fans is very special, but the best part is these guys are a minor league team. Putting a NHL team in Cleveland would be interesting, rivals with Columbus, Pittsburgh and Detroit, you've got the arena and the fans, now just move Florida or Arizona!
@mach68937 жыл бұрын
I got a better idea. How about we award the 31st NHL franchise to Cleveland instead of Vegas? A hockey team in Vegas is a terrible fit. The NHL could also resurrect either the Quebec Nordiques or the Hartford Whalers for an even 32 teams. None of the scenarios will happen under Gary Bettman's watch though.
