@Lionel Avila Exactly. We had Love and Kyrie out for the 2015 Finals. In 2017 and 2018, instead of being a man and facing a challenge, Durant takes the pussy way out and joins the Warriors. Was a great moment in sports history and don't let anybody fool you about losing in the finals it's an honor Jerry west lost nine times in the finals and they use him as the logo but nobody says anything about that so just ignore anything about losing the finals because it's like getting a silver medal in the Olympics there's people that didn't even get a medal and Jordan didn't get to the finals many times so his record is worse than LeBron's in actuality don't ever forget that

Man I still remember everything around this night, and these last few minutes while watching with my family. I was only alive for the LeBron teams, the awful seasons the Browns had, and the chokejobs from the Indians in the postseason, but my dad had been witness of all the horrible luck to Cleveland, to the point that he thought we’d never win something. My grandpa died a month before this game, and he was the most loyal Cleveland sports fan I have ever known. No matter how bad a team played, or how much he hated how they sucked, he watched every minute of every Browns game, every inning of Indians ball, and almost every minute of Cavalier basketball. When LeBron hit the free throw, and my family was jumping around, because we knew they finally ended the curse, the first thing I thought of, was that my grandpa was up in heaven smiling, because they won, or cracking a joke that they couldn’t let him be alive for the title. This will forever be my favorite NBA Game and moment ever. The finals after this were absolute garbage because Kevin Durant ruined the league, and Kyrie became a prima donna, so this would be my “series finale” of the NBA, the underdogs toppled the evil empire with all odds against them, so millions of people could rejoice.

I WAS AT THE GAME: I’m from Cleveland. There were maybe only 300 Cleveland fans in the whole arena. Why? 4 reasons…1) There were only connecting flights from Cleveland to Oakland/San Francisco (no direct flights). 2) Tickets were INSANELY expensive. 3) If they lost, it would be a VERY depressing flight home…with a connector. 4) They are playing Game 7 in Golden State…the team that had the best record in NBA history. That said, it was a very high risk, high reward scenario. I spent $3,000 for an 18th row ticket. My heart raced the entire game. Didn’t eat and maybe took a sip of water all 48 minutes (severe dry mouth). Fast forward to when Kyrie hit the go-ahead 3 pointer (5:03)…this 65 year old woman, only fan near me, from Cleveland (I never met before) literally pulled an Elaine Benes and pushed me so hard and starting shaking me with complete and utter shock…”Holy sh*t…we may actually win this thing.”…and sure enough….I took a $3000 risk on the greatest NBA game of all time. 😊 PS: My profile pic is me at the game wearing the CLE shirt.

Why doesn't this comment have more likes??? Dude I'm so jealous of you, it's been 6 years and June 19, 2016 is still like the greatest day of my life and I do weird anniversary shit every June 19 haha I've always wanted to hear background stories from Cleveland fans about this championship and more especially from people that grew up in Cleveland and really understand the 52 year curse and lived through it because I'm sure the Believeland documentary doesn't do it justice. ^Elaine Benes that's hilarious!!! 😂 Man what did you do after the game?? Find some of those 300 Cleveland fans and celebrate with them at a bar or something?? I have so many more questions too 😂

Looking back on this you can see how serious, cautious, intense, and technical this all was. Everyone was so locked in. Bron didn't even complain when he was fouled on that lay up. He kept it moving because the only thing that mattered was getting a real bucket and playing true championship defense! They left it all out there. All of the emotions and nonsense was nowhere to be seen in this final 3 minutes. From anyone.

It literally had everything imaginable. Blowout dominating performances, close games, drama on and outside the court, history, narrative of underdogs, legacy, big shots/blocks. Literally everything there will never be another finals like this. Broke down into tears at the end

0:51 game 7, everything on the line, and the 2 biggest players Lebron and Curry both help each other up after the foul. Great sportsmanship is always my favorite thing to see. Love it. Especially in such an intense moment as the last 3 minutes of a game 7 in the NBA finals. Awesome stuff

@@hehans4279 I'm not overly concerned with where KD went or how he interfered with the rival. I'm Christian. I was more bummed that he didn't continue in OKC. They were so close. He was clearly better than Kawhi. I thought he could've beat LeBron in the Finals. Real was coming back to the NBA and he was next up out west. Should be CLE vs OKC the past 2 years

Kevin Durant even after winning his two titles in Golden State said that winning wasn't as satisfying as he thought it would be. He is one of the best players ever but he knows and regrets that he will NEVER have the feeling of doing this in his career. He robbed himself of a career defining championship. Moments like this make players legend and it solidified Lebron James amongst the all-time greats, even if he never wins another title again.

Lebron's 2016 championship outweights Durant's 2 championships and 2 finals mvp and that's indisputable

@@thegreatpriest8784 No it doesnt. You'd like it, but it doesnt. Durants' chips and mvps came up against Lebron himself whereas Lebrons' 2016 chip came up against Harrison Barnes. As much as the media tried to make it as some kind of miracle, Cavaliers begun the 2015-2016 as clear cut favorites for the title, being the only super team in the league. The fact that GSW far exceeded the expectations behind Currys' insane regular season, didnt change anything. Cavs were still way more stacked and well rested from coming out of the most putrid conference ever, whilst GSW barely got past the OKC. It was a disgrace finding themselves down 3-1 and it was only by a collection of the most outreagous coincidences, including league interference, that they made it only by the thinnest of margins in the end and of course it was Kyrie who made the shot.

I broke down crying watching this live…my Dad teared up. My Sister (RIP) watched it from work and called me. I’m just happy my Dad and my Sister got to see this. My Sister passed unexpectedly a month later, and I lost my Dad in April of last year to cancer. I tear up when I see this still because my Dad and I watched it together, I miss him and my Sis so much. But they got to see this. I wish my Grandpa had got to see it but he passed the last day of 2008.
