@@22sportfishingcharters66 What size hair jigs do you like best? 1/2 oz? Do you make your own?
@22sportfishingcharters66 Жыл бұрын
@@Moondog9322 I don't make my own. I get them from Fishing Addiction Gear. 90% of the time we're using 3/4oz. If we have a super slow drift and we're in water shallower that 14' then we'll probably switch down to 5/8oz.

What weight jigs do you use?
@22sportfishingcharters66 Жыл бұрын
Mostly 3/4 oz. For water deeper than 14 feet on really windy days I go to 1 oz. For calm days shallower than 14 feet I'll sometimes use 5/8 oz. If you can keep your drift speed around 0.3 - 0.6 mph then 3/4 works fine.

Do you tip jigs with crawler
@22sportfishingcharters66 Жыл бұрын
No, I don't tip the jigs with anything. Some guys do, I think just as a confidence builder, but I've never found it necessary.

A Loop Knot is absolutely necessary when Jig Fishing. Unfortunately... So , if you tie anything else. I feel sorry for Ya ✌️🎣🤙

3 reason I use a 7 ft rod keep s ur line away from me boat and helps get ur bait off the bottom faster for a batter hook set most important of all if ur catching big walleye no not 8lb walleye iam talking about 12lb+ walleye u need a bit longer rod .. I fish all around the state.. if I was bank fishing I would go with nothing smaller than a 9ft rod only way to fish fr the bank . And I go with a 7 on the boat .. less ur fishing for small male walleye s
