No the tripod I use was a birthday gift, the last one was dropped into the lake in 30ft of water 😂⚠️🐟

Great video Senan, love the lake content. Quick question tho... do you know if it is legel/illegal to use treble hooks on lures or meps on rivers. Been hearing mixed things and wasn't sure.

You can use treble hooks on your lures of course. Rarely you will see some rivers that only allow single hooks on lures. Some soft culture seems to be coming in for “single hooks only” . I’ve fished with them lots of times, you lose 70% of the fish you hook. So I only rarely use them.

Fished derg for trout before. Tough going. Fair play. Any concern of losing lures/pike on 12LBS fluoro?

Not particularly, I never go into the shallows or near weeds, target open water, no features for the pike to hold up near, haven’t hooked a pike all year on my trout gear doing this. But I have landed 106/107cm pike on the 12lb fleuro, it’s able to deal with the pressure, just wouldn’t recommend it if targeting pike solely.

Mate your videos are so useful for me so if you can do a faster running bigger river, I’d really appreciate it so I can compare my approach Can’t wade so I have to fish from the bank and I’ve followed the setups but really struggling to catch
