A-Train4014 Productions heads out to Lake Forest for our Railfanning Fridays with David Dupuis, Larry Amaloo, Greg Silverman, and Alex Ertmann. As usual, we started off the day at 5:30am CT at Lake Forest. The usual Metra and Amtrak trains showed up. But the Siemens Chargers SC-44 make an appearance on both Amtrak Hiawatha trains which was a pretty unique consist. However, we had to cut our day short because of last minute changes. In the end, it was great seeing some of our friends.

I wonder why these windows are so small on suburban trains ? In comparison, locos are so massive for small trains, especially @ 19:30 Beautiful colors and sound

The Siemens Chargers aren't technically in operating service yet as they are currently still being tested which is why Amtrak put P42DC engines in front of them just in case anything goes wrong.
