A New Lake Bois D'Arc (pronounced Bo Dark in Texas) opened 2 weeks ago and the fishing was on fire we caught a lot of bass in the morning and then a boat load of Crappie in the afternoon.

That looks like the same day I was there, my first time. I was using a weightless senco, I caught 34. A lot of 3 and 4 pounds, one 6 pound. Using weightless helped to keep the snags Down.

I went again this past Saturday, blue bird sky, got there at 6 am. Was doing good till about 11 am , then the fish just shut off. Caught a 7 pounder. Still wacky rigged a senco. The weight seems to be more of a hindrance. I did use a 1/8 oz shaky head, caught some with that to. They do seem to like the smaller size senco. Good luck on your next trip !!

Samn I can diah my 4 acre lake in northwest indiana and catch 5 to 7 pounders 😅

we didn't get any big ones but my grandson had never been bass fishing before so this was a good trip for him. I caught 20 bass and 100 big bluegill from a different lake and released them into his pond. His father is a vegan and never had an interest in stocking the pond. these bass were all 1/2#-3#s so nothing big here either
