"What is a culvert, and will my boat fit through it?"
This is a question we hear A LOT while helping buyer clients find their Lake Gaston home. Culverts come in a variety of sizes and often are the gateway to some of the most peaceful and relaxing spots on the lake. Different from a traditional bridge such as the Pea Hill Creek Bridge and Eaton Ferry Bridge, the culverts on Lake Gaston are made of concrete and are often narrower. The perception of culverts is that they are too small for boats and can only be passed through with a jet ski or small fishing boat. While it is true that not all boats will fit through the culverts on Lake Gaston, the size of these culverts and their resulting accessibility may surprise you!
