I live just a few minutes from mallard park. This lake is great! Just takes time to learn it !

Used your waypoints the past two weeks on Lavon and had great success with a few 3 pounders. Worth the investment for me to quickly learn a new lake. Much appreciated!

Tyler, can’t thank you enough for your direction and tips. Would you ever consider providing a paid half day teaching lesson on Lavon on my boat using my graphs sometime? I could really use some hands on mentoring to get me started.

@Greg Folkins - I would love to help but I’m not licensed for that and the local guides would be upset. I have a good friend that is a guide and is 10x better than me. (Jeremy Williams) Send me your email and I’ll have him reach out to you. He said he would be more than happy to do that.

I was told that there are submerged stumps at the lower in of the lake around the island. Any input would help.
@michaelcobb15513 жыл бұрын
Thanks plan on fishing the north east side of the lake from the dam up about halfway
@SimplisticFishing3 жыл бұрын
There aren’t any stumps on the south side that I am aware of. The island may have some on the north side where it gets shallow but other than that you should be good.

That’s funny! I have a boat out at Collin Park Marina. I’ll keep an eye out for the “heavy set guy”. This video is great info! I subscribed and I appreciate you putting this video together. My favorite is white bass. Which area did you find to be the best for them?

Thanks man!! Tell him hello for me. :) Tight lines!! Oh, I have the gps coordinates for the Lavon levee finally. N 33 09.233, W 96 25.426

I am new to the area and The dealership waranteed my motor, is Lavon lake or Ray Hubbard a good lake to break in Mercury 150XS? If so, where at on the lake?
@SimplisticFishing2 жыл бұрын
Either lake should be fine just stay down by the dam on both lakes and you’ll have plenty of water to drive around.

Ticky creek and the dam are awesome places for catfish and gar. Anything past the 380 bridge is useless cause there are too many snags and sunken trees.
@SimplisticFishing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Always wondered what was north of 380 but the trees scared me away.
@AkshaySKumar-cn8iw3 жыл бұрын
@@SimplisticFishing north of the 380 bridge is the sister groves boat ramp which has some good sized catfish but not as much opportunity as the south of 380 bridge. Lavonia near the dam, ticky creek, & elm creek cove are the best spots for catfish and gar in my opinion and the waters near the power plant are best for white and stripped bass. I don’t have experience in all the other areas and I haven’t ventured pass the west part of the lake.
