Drones in the Wild

The Grand Coulee which stretches from the Grand Coulee Dam all the way down to Soap lake is the centerpiece of the Channeled Scablands of Washington formed by great ice age flood events. In this video, we will see Lake Lenore, an alkaline lake situated in the southern reaches of the Grand Coulee canyon system. If I seem somewhat out of breath in the cave, I should have taken a breather after carrying a Zhiyun Crane gimbal plus camera/mic while climbing the side of the cliffs! Enjoy!

Good video but loose that dam music, sometimes when your talking the music drowns out what your trying to say.

Dude you totally went the wrong way! You went up and left against the wall, you need to go up and right! The caves ARE deep, you were still on the trail. Cool drone shots tho!

you could probably skip the selfies and just narrate, good video otherwise

Thanks- I'm just experimenting with different types of shots and equipment combos. Next week will be mountain bike with a gimbal (although Dry Falls turns out not to get my recommendation for biking). To be honest, I consider these selfies fairly unsuccessful because the autofocus was hunting like crazy. Definitely the achilles heel of the G85.

turn on sport mode if you get stuck from the dumb obstacle avoidance. I fly 80% sport mode anyway

I would do that but my problem is that I find the obstacle avoidance useful because I do a lot of shots that are close passes over trees/ridgelines/etc. and my depth perception of a small drone at a distance is wanting. I hit a tree with my P3P trying for a dramatic flyby up at Baker Lake and am just amazed that the poor thing righted itself in air and kept flying. BTW, nice Husky in your videos.

Yeah I know what you mean, I did the same thing the other day bounced a tree. Sometimes flipping the switch is the best option for a brief moment to get out of a stuck spot. Thanks BTW.

It's funny. I haven't produced content for that channel in over 2 years and it still keeps getting new subscribers!
