Are you using Magnum planer boards or just walleye? Also Do you know a good weather app for lake michigan ports, I'm giving this a try and I don't want to get killed in a storm. I also intend to get a Gillotine when they come into stock. Is there a way to make sure your channel is credited for it?

Yup those are the magnum off shore boards, highly recommended them for pulling copper, weighted steel, and lead core. I personally like to use the apps My Radar and Windfinder for wind speed/ direction and radar for incoming storms. That’s awesome to hear your getting a gill o tine, they should be back in stock soon. Just tell them you saw it on my channel and that should score me some brownie points 👍🏻

Thanks! A boat like mine plus all the salmon gear your looking at roughly $60k. You could easily find a boat for $20k or less that will do the job though. 6 rods/reels, rigs, baits, and line your looking at around $1.5- $2k brand new roughly.

I have the Green Bay series net and i absolutely love it! I think I’m going on 3 years with that net now and I’ve had absolutely no issues. Those ego sliders are junk, heard a lot of bad things about them. Thanks for watching!

Fished Erie in April and going to the white river later this month for trout and lake Vermilion in September since Canada isn’t open. I live in Tennessee so I sauger/walleye fish here from November-March

Thanks! Oh man i bet your getting antsy with the warm weather coming 😂 Other than trolling for salmon I use it for trolling walleyes also. Definitely helps boat control on windy days and saves battery on the trolling motor.

A little advice would be to change the plastic rod holders (dipseys) as they will fail. Hate to say it but I know from unfortunate experience. Will save you $ in the long run.

Yeah Ik. I want to get some rod trees in the future but it’s not gonna happen this year unfortunately. The plastic ones have been pretty solid so far but eventually they’ll break, thanks for the heads up!!

I run Okuma cold water 45s (you could use a 30) with 1000’ of blood run wire line. Rod is a 10’ Okuma White Diamond copper/wire line.

😂 😂 thanks!! We went out of Two Rivers. Seems like the fish are moving in all over on the Wisconsin side now, should be a good year!! Port Washington is an awesome port, we’ve gone down there a few times and did well. Not much beats a fresh coho on the grill!!

It is a lot of work but it’s a good excuse to wake up and watch the sun come up. I was never much of a troller but a king salmon pealing out drag is tough to beat. And there amazing eats!
