We haven't considered Oconee but now I think we should have a look. Maybe you can show us around very soon. I'll contact you.

Average high temp of 75* in Georgia??? I’m gonna go ahead and call shenanigans on that one!

Billy - that is the average for the entire year (12 months). People love that we have all four season but can enjoy the lake year round. Just a few weeks ago I took some clients out on the lake, sunny and near 80 degrees. Thanks for watching! #noshananigans

Buyer beware of the Boat Rental place because they run a scam. They won't tell you about the trees under the water or the sudden depth changes that can damage the boat or propeller. They will just charge you a bundle when you come back in. And the boat rental are OVERPRICED!

Thanks for the content. Is Lake Oconee water brown/stained? How would you compare it against Lake Hartwell? Thx.

Lake Hartwell is a deeper lake than Oconee. Oconee has some areas that seem stained or dirty casused by heavy rain where sediment sturs up on the river running through it being not as deep as Hartwell. Lake Hartwell water levels fluctuate and have floating docks, Lake Oconee water levels are constant and have stationary docks. I've spent a good amount of time on Hartwell as well, great lake. Thanks for watching!

One other BIG difference - Lake Oconee - a GA Power Lake allows you to landscape your yard right down to the waterfront/wall. Lake Hartwell a Corp lake - you cannot build past a specific line, not usually close to the lake.

@@PhilipRandolphREALTOR Only partly accurate or misleading. The terrain ( actual bottom) of Lake Hartwell is considerably steeper than Lake Oconee, so to install pilings for a dock 75" from shore the pilings might have to be 100" tall. Also Lake Hartwell's annual draw down may be 10' or more. Both reasons are why they have floating docks. As to Lake Oconee having constant water levels, anyone can go online and see that Georgia Power does an annual draw down, and see that the water level is NOT constant. I understand that you want to sell and want to put the lake's best foot forward. Lake Hartwell is one of the most beautiful lakes around, but I've settled on Lake Sinclair because it is NOT a flood control lake and GP does NOT do annual draw down, so I can enjoy the lake year round.
