Lake Orta: Italy's Best-Kept Secret

After spending the night in Lake Orta, we went back to Orta San Giulio, where we took a boat to Isola San Giulio and explored Sacro Monte. Then we headed to Omegna, a beautiful Italian town on the north side of the lake to have lunch.

I can imagine how some places get more popular by now, but in general, August is not the best time to travel around Italy. It is a holiday for locals and everywhere can be very crowded
