Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program

Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program

Күн бұрын

Join APIPP and search for aquatic invasive species this summer on your favorite lake or stream. Each year volunteers, lake associations, and partner organizations go out and do early detection surveys for 16 invasive species. In this virtual webinar we will review how to identify the top eight animal and eight plant species that we are looking for. We then review how to report your observations via our forms and by using iMapInvasives. Participants commit to monitoring a waterbody of their choice at least one time between July and September. Later in the summer we will have in-person trainings that allow for hands-on experience with invasive species identification. Help protect your lake by looking out for invasive species!
