Very cool. I grew up on Lake Quinsigamond, on Natural History Drive. We owned from (part of the parcel of the lakefront) Natural History Drive, allthe way to the top of Wigwam Hill - where the end of the property was directly across from an Indian burial ground, that is now unfortunately a street. SMH. We'd go blueberry picking up on the hill; go out and play up there all summer long; head over Plantation Street into the area of the Nunnery. And even over to the coal mine, where there were many different American Indian legends told to us by our next door neighbors. It's unfortunate that the whole area is destroyed for condos and duplexes; and even the field on the side of the Worcester State Hospital and the grounds leading up to it...it was quite fantastical, the grounds and landscape..All brick steel and glass now.

Awesome, sounds like it was quite a nice place with great history. Too bad it's all industrialized now

Absolutely brilliant portrait of a much abused body of water,done at the season when she’s the most beautiful.

Thanks Joe, it would be fun to fly together sometime. Unfortunately I am kind of far from Worcester though

Daily Drone FPV put your info on the website. The kid I fly with who is super skilled at building created it. We travel all over to fly. We could coordinate something. Next summer we are all heading to Utah to fly. But I'm sure we can meet up and rip some packs.

Awesome video I grew up down by the lake and that view is insane. What kind of drone did you use?
@DailyDroneFPV8 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude, as seen in the video description, I flew the DJI Inspire 1 drone for this video. It was an awesome view, and a very neat river-like lake to boot

Very nice. Just please avoid the eagle's nest on one of the islands. (I think it's the island on the left of the screen at the :30 second mark.) Also be aware that there will now be eagles trying to fish in Lake Quinsigamond.

nice video, only thing I would say is that you flew really really close to Umass and their helipad for emergency services.... there could be a steep fine for that if you happened to interrupt them.
@KatTheFoxtaur Жыл бұрын
Actually, UMass's helipad is not a restricted zone; you are allowed to fly right over it. Helipads typically don't have the same drone restrictions as airports, and drones must always yield to manned aircraft, and operators must maintain visual LOS, as per regulations. Most of the lake from Route 9 south is within an altitude restriction, as it is inline with one of the runways of ORH (Worcester Airport), but the restriction is 150m altitude.
