Nice to watch a fishing show about the West Coast. Not enough of them. I always record Angler West Shows. Lot of advertising but I guess that’s fishing shows. Need to hit some of the Oregon and Washington waters they feature.

That dodger looks like overkill especially during the fight, just the hotwings with a nightcrawler would do the trick for sure. Going to try that set up as soon as trout opens.

So whenever I fished out there at lake Roosevelt I've never kept adipose fin rainbow trout they are considered red band rainbows and are to be released

That rule went into effect in Dec. 2016, almost two years after the filming of this show.

does angler west ever NOT boat fish? i land fish twice the size consistently hoofing it on the bank... and no cheater scent needed if you present properly... love your vids but you should bank fish once in a while...

You don't need a boat on lake roosevelt. Unless you like boating i guess. If you know where to fish the bank fishing guys do just as good if not better. Way up by Kettle Falls in between Kettle and the Gifford ferry turn off the bank fishing is awesome in the winter of you can brave cold.
