Bridget Kearney on bass. She's an award winning bass player. They all met at the New England Conservatory of Music and obviously have a lot of talent. They are amazing live as well.

They are pretty amazing. Unfortunately the original trumpet player just left the band. The backbone consists of Rachael and Bridget. Bridget's bass makes the music rock and her vocal harmonies with Rachaels are great.

@@gabe2869 Gabe, we share a name. Gabriel is my real one. Harry was Amazing. I grew up listening to his records in the 70's. His soundtrack work on Midnight Cowboy, the animated Me and My Arrow ( The Point if you wanna look it up) his work with John Lennon, and the fact that he had a solid crooner career before all that is incredible. Legend has it he blew out his vocal chords doing primal scream with Lennon. There's a documentary about him called Who is Harry Nilsson and Why is Everybody Talking About Him.

Loved this!...Accidently came across this band while browsing KZbin. The "Lake Street" peaked my interest....When I was a youngster I lived on Lake St in my city.Some of us still refer to ourselves as"being from Lake ST".In what city is the Lake Street in the band's name located? They are new to me,but have been around for quite a while..So much better than a lot the cookie cutter stuff churned out by the music industry today....What a concept..Real singers and real musicians playing real intruments!

I love this band!! They met and formed in college, the New England Conservatory of Music. Rachel is a For REAL jazz singer, and like the man said so long ago, "You ain't heard nothing yet folks." I got to see them live, in Lake Tahoe, a year and a half or so ago. It was a great night. They are a seriously good time live, if you get the chance. While most of what you do here is "Classic" music, this is a current, living, breathing band that is in their prime.

I appreciate all your reactions of the many classics out there, believe me I have watched nearly all of them. But there are tons of bands making great music today. Lake Street is only one example. I am always a little defensive when people (I know you don’t) claim that the past has the only claim on great music. I am over 50, but I think every generation brings new great talent. A few suggestions: - St. Paul and The Broken Bones (mentioned by others here) - Alabama Shakes - Black Pumas -The War and Treaty - Sharon Jones (RIP) and The Dap-Kings -Yola -Dawes -Spoon -Tennis -Johnnyswim -The Heavy The list goes on and on...I welcome you mixing in a few newer artists into the reactions....hope to see it!!

First time commenting. It is great that one of the most influential rectors has started with LSD. Amazing band all the way around. If you are looking for some similar artists (not musically, but extremely talented and under represented in the reaction sphere), I have a few suggestions with songs: Marcus King - Goodbye Carolina, Dying, Wildflowers and Wine, & Sweet Mariona / Mandolin Orange - Cavalry, Hey Stranger, The Wolves, & WIldfire / Buddy Guy - Love Her With Feeling, Damn Right I've Got The Blues, & Feels Like Rain / and finally one of the most prolific and profound songwriters of all time, John Prine - Sam Stone, Hello In There, Long Monday, & In Spite Ourselves.
