Hello, I am from Minnesota and have done some gold prospecting down in redwood falls, mn. I found about the same amount in 8hrs of panning down by the redwood river falls. All tiny flakes but so worth the trip. A sluice like that may lead to higher amounts.

Great content! Yet another fun video! The buried treasures left by the Mystery Prospector were very cool. I think masonry ties in to enjoying this type of hobby, at least it does for me. I did, amongst other things, decorative concrete and decorative stone work for many years. Playing with rocks, dirt, mud, sand, etc as a kid? Yeah, I'll be buying some equipment soon! You read my mind upscaling the operation. I made my own power head out of PVC pipe with a series of holes drilled along it. I screwed a full length smaller diameter pipe inside of a larger one to stop the water just blasting straight out. Attaching the hose in the middle kept the water flow even.

Nessa ~you have a smaller PVC (or ABS) pipe with holes drilled into it (or I would prefer slots cut into it) put inside a bigger pipe to stop blasting water. Or do you drill holes in the bigger pipe.?

@@royjohnson465 yeah slots would probably be better but yes holes in both pipes, the inside pipe has them positioned up higher so it fills up more first. Then the water doesn't blast out the larger pipe holes & also gives a more even flow across the whole pipe I made it to fit entirely like a wall across the start of the flare so I still get the V shape in the water just like in a creek. Inside pipe is screwed in touching the bigger pipe so one big hole for the water feed pipe can be made through both almost directly on top. Harder to explain than it should be.😐 I wanted it to mimic how it would be normally in a creek.

Raymond ~advice on a place to prospect: travel to the ocean beach in the Netherlands and sluice the "beach sand" for potential gold for a hobby. ~You have to use the proper equipment or sand can plug up your sluice riffles.

Jason, it was nice to meet you and Herman and Rigby. I’m still on a beach nearby for a couple more days and I found a sweet spot full of black sand(and gold). Hopefully, the lake will cooperate and I can pan, pan, pan. See if I can beat .59 :)

It must’ve taken you 4 hrs to type all that !!!! 🤣 That big clamp smashed the plastic hose when i did it at home but I think the cold water at the beach stiffened it up enough that it worked after my failure with the elbow…🤓 What a day , more buried treasure and MORE gold !!!! Im going to test the frontier sluice with beach gold soon ✅ Its sooooo flat !!! I could just piggyback 2 -6 inch VDR sluices 😮 Thank you for your input my Professor of frankensteinology ✌️✅

That Minnesota/Wisconsin gold just wasn't cuttin it. We moved down to northwest Arizona last spring. I'm out right now, I highly suggest moving down here. I'm on a decent lane, should have around 3 grams by tomorrow afternoon, unless I hit a 5 ouncer or something. A guy about a mile from me got a 22 grammer a couple weeks ago.

A buddy grabbed some sand from Lake Superior and we are going to process it in New Mexico. Last time I was up there I got 30 pieces out of a zip lock full of dirt. I should be up there in around August or September with a Gold Cube and trommel. Hoping to bring a gram or two home. Your videos fire up the gold fever for sure brother.
