Lake Winnipesaukee Salmon on the FLY
So we started the day by getting up at 4 am, grabbing the canoe and heading North to the Merrymeeting river in Alton, NH. I well known hot spot for Salmon and Trout in the spring and fall. We skipped the first pool because of anglers and only saw a few sucker fish and pickerel down stream and one trout before we entered the lake with no fish caught. We then jumped into the first pool and a saw this bright flash. "Salmon!" My dad swung the brown bead head woolly bugger in that spot and FISH ON! We also waded into Winni and found some monster trout jumping for little flies we didn't have. Which is a little frustrating.

If we are talking the same river the rules change a bunch throughout the year make sure to check the rule book
