It’s a bit of a consequence of using Audition to eliminate pauses. My other videos aren’t so hacky. I just wanted to avoid running into a 20 minute video just because of lots of normal conversational pauses. If I were a bigger channel I could more consistently get away with that!

I live in Wellington, New Zealand which is Lat. 41 South. Since about the middle of June I have been observing a comet with the naked eye that appears about 10 minutes after the Sun goes below the horizon. It is the third brightest object in the sky (after the Sun and Moon). It has been moving away from the Sun all this time. In June it dropped below the hills at about 5.50pm after the Sun has set at 4.35pm. Now in November (1 hour added on for Summertime) the Sun drops below the hills at about 8 or 8.30 pm and this comet drops below the hills at about 11pm. It is moving at a low angle relative to the Ecliptic but moving towards the South. Can anyone give me some idea as to which one this is?
@kiwitrainguy3 жыл бұрын
@Wayne Flanigan Thanks for that Wayne, as I write this it is 8.36pm NZ Summer time and this object has been visible for about 30 minutes, I saw it today at 8.05pm as the Sun was crossing the line of hills in the West. I wonder if it is getting brighter?

Assuming this comet survives that long-- (Rumors are spreading that the comet might have fragmented and would then be much dimmer by this point) I've seen people suggest mag -10 from Venus.
